November 18, 2022 @ 8:00 pm - 10:00 pm

donations at door

Friday the 18th of November at 8pm, will see a return of Celtic Psalms to our newly refurbished Cahans Meeting House, this being the very first event to utilise the newly installed electricity!🤞

In an evening of song, Kiran Young Wimberly and the McGraths will share music from their several albums of psalms, including their popular CD, “Celtic Psalms: Rest in the Shelter”. With soulful voices, rich harmonies and traditional instrumentation, these arrangements of psalms set to Irish and Scottish melodies bring fresh life to ancient words.

Kiran Young Wimberly, an American Presbyterian minister who has spent much of the past decade in Northern Ireland, currently serves with the Corrymeela Community in Ballycastle. The McGrath family (parents Declan and Kelly, daughters Ellen and Chloe) live in Dungannon, Co. Tyrone and actively support music and drama in their local community.

Celtic Psalms has shared its music with diverse communities in Northern Ireland and abroad in North America. It has been featured on the BBC televised series on hymn writing “Then Sings My Soul”, as well as Sunday services with RTE and the BBC on radio and TV. Building bridges between traditional and sacred music and connecting with the deeper human emotions of joy and sorrow, lament and hope, this event is sure to be a healing balm for the soul.
